Chocolate and Quark Muffins Recipe
Ingredients:
- cups of wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 sugar cup
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup quark or Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar (optional, to decorate)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the quark (or Greek yogurt), vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well until you get a uniform mixture.
- Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a homogeneous dough is formed..
- Add the chocolate chips and stir to distribute them evenly in the dough..
- With lightly floured hands, form small balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
- Lightly flatten each bun with the palm of your hand.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the buns are firm to the touch..
- Let the rolls cool on a rack.
- Optionally, sprinkle icing sugar over the cooled rolls before serving.r.
